Horse Betting Road to Kentucky Derby 4-4-09

There are four big Kentucky Derby prep race today so let us take a look at them.

 

This is always an entertaining race, and the winner will usually be one of the early Kentucky Derby Favorites.  I like the horses below, and would look to bet them straight depending on the odds offered in each pool.  I would key them both with the next likely contenders.

  2.  #4 Pioneerof the Nile

Did you see the fog at Aqueduct last week?  ESPN had one of the funniest sound bites I have ever heard of an announcer calling a race.  Anyway, I like only one horse as my key.  I would check the pools for overlays and if there are not any I would key this horse in every position, in every exotic they offer.

Since this is my home track, I should have some great inside information, right?  Believe that and I have a bridge for sale, cheap.  The way I will write up about the race you will think I know something because there is only one horse who can win this race. (ha, ha).  I do have only one key horse in this race so look for overlays and key him in all spots in your exacta plays.

I am not quite sure why this one is on as a Kentucky Derby Prep race, but as a true degenerant gambler I will play it.  It looks like a pretty wide open affair so here are the key horses I like.  I do not like to bet crazy on a race this wide open.  I would look for overlays among the three horses and only use these three in the exotics.  The favorite will probably be within these three horses.
