Tonight I will look at the NBA for the FREE release. I like the Lakers versus Nuggets game, which tips off at 9:35pm CST on TNT. The game will be played in Los Angeles at the Staples center.
Both of these teams are in the playoffs, which start in about 10 days. The Nuggets are 27 games over 500 and have won their last five games in a row. The Nuggets appear to be on a roll winning four of their last five road games. They look like a hot team with “road warrior” mentality. A detailed look into the schedule gives us a much truer reality of this team. The last five wins come against Oklahoma City, Minnesota, LA Clippers, Utah and the New York Knicks. There is one quality win in this group.
The Lakers are 62-16 and sport the best record in the NBA. The Lakers have won nine of their last 11 games, but have only have a 1-4 record against the spread in their last five Home games. The Lakers are fighting for the best record in the NBA and home field in the finals if they reach the finals. The Lakers are motivated to win, not just coast the rest of the season. The Lakers feel home court was the different in the Celtics victory over them in the 2008 finals.
The official play is the Lakers -550 on the money line over the Denver Nuggets.
