Sports Betting Free Picks 7-12-09
Now you know why I hedge! All three of my Money Games went up in smoke not only ATS but outright! Hedging turns lemons into lemonade, which allows me to live and fight another day in this war against the “man”.
Here are the selections for today to use in your Round Robin, Time Zone Hedge, 6 Pack or SMA Parlays. I update the Series bets with current record and price. I will continue to “buy” a series if I feel it is a good deal.
Play 1 - WNBA
Chicago 6-7 (Road: 1-6) 9:00pm ET
Seattle 8-4 (Home: 5-0)
Home court reigns supreme in the WNBA. I will continue to bet that trend and take a better Seattle team versus a weaker Chicago squad. Seattle is undefeated at home while the Sky have won just once on the road. Lay the lumber and love it! It is a heavy lay at -850 so play it wisely in a 6 Pack Parlay or a Round Robin.
Play 2 - MLB
Pittsburgh 38-49 (Road: 16-32) 1:35pm ET
Philadelphia 47-38 (Home: 21-23) TV: FSPI, WPHL
PIT: V. Vasquez (1-2, 4.50)
PHI: J.A. Happ (5-0, 3.04)
Here we have the better team, with an undefeated pitcher and better home record playing a foe who sucks on the road, has a pitcher who has only won once and overall is a pretty bad team. Add the fact that this is a PA state bragging rights game, which the Phillies want to win. No let up here as I will play the Phillies but I will bump the run line to +1 ½ runs -320. Use this in a 6 Pack Parlay or Round Robin.
Play 3 - MLB
NY Yankees 51-36 (Road: 25-20) 3:35pm ET
LA Angels 48-37 (Home: 26-18) TV: YES, KCOP
NYY: C. Sabathia (8-5, 3.70)
LAA: J. Lackey (3-4, 5.18)
The Yankees can send God to the mound and I still would bet the Angels. I fact, the Yankees are sending their version of the almighty being today in Sabathia. What a joke, as CC is sporting a 8-5 record and has looked less than impressive for most of the year. The Angels own the Yanks at home, so I will bump the run line up to +2 ½ -220. It will take 3 runs to beat me and I feel I have the team that can win outright. Use this in any kind of play listed above.
Remember to hedge any Money Games in all of your plays including Round Robins.
