Sports Betting Free Picks 7-20-09
Philly was a nice win for us on Sunday’s free pick. All my picks went 7-0 so let us keep it rolling.
For Monday, I am going back to the red-hot Phillies. I will continue on this ride for as long as possible. They are still the hottest team in MLB and have the pathetic Cubs coming into town. The Cubs are the most over-rated team in the majors.
Philly has won 9 of their last 10 games and are on an 8 game winning streak. The Phillies are playing like the defending champions they are and should roll against a weaker Cub team. This is the ESPN prime time game so expect the usual “Philadelphia hospitality” from the ignorant crowd.
The Cubbies are the most disappointing team in MLB this year. They were picked by many to contend for the championship, but have struggled so far this year. They are only two games behind the Cardinals, but are not in the Phillies league. The Cubbies just won 4 in a row, but all were against the Nationals. The Phillies are not Washington as this is a huge step up in class for the Cubs.
The Cubbies were actually the overnight favorite with Lilly on the mound. This gives us unbelievable value on the much better team, playing at home. This morning the Phillies have become the favorite, but by just a small margin.
I again want to have the best chance at winning the bet so I will bump the line to +1 ½ -175 and hopefully watch the streak continue.
