Philly did it again on Monday pasting the Cubs 10-1 as predicted right here, giving everybody another FREE winner!
For Tuesday, I am going to keep a good thing rolling and once again back to the red-hot Phillies. As I stated Monday, I will continue to ride the Phillies on this hot run. This series is against the over-rated, over-bet Cubs. This makes the value on these games great.
Philly has won 9 of their last 10 games and are now on an 9 game winning streak. Monday’s win gives them a 500 record at home. Tonight they send Blanton to the hill who is 6-4 with a 4.44 ERA.
The Cubs should show better after the big blow out loss and I expect them to play well early. Harden will start for Chicago and he is a 500 pitcher with a 5.06 ERA.
I again want to have the best chance at winning the bet so I will bump the line to +1 ½ -220 meaning we have to lose by two runs.
I am feeling good so I will also release the Yankees over the Orioles with the first pitch going off at 7:05EST.
The Bombers are back and taking no prisoners against the pathetic Orioles. The Yankees have run 4 in a row and are 30-16 at home. The Orioles are just 15-30 on the road and truly are a bad team.
Baltimore is sending Hill to the hill who comes in with a 7.22 ERA! The Yankees might put up 20 runs in this one, so I have little fear of them pitting Mitre.
I will stay conservative and play the Yankees +1 ½ runs -280.
I am playing one last game so what the heck, here it is. I like trending teams and good teams playing bad teams. In the WNBA no team has been as hot as the Indiana Fever and even though their streak was broken at Connecticut they showed what heart they had by not quitting and winning the 4th quarter by 10 points. I like a team that shows that kind of effort when no one gives them a chance.
The public has a short memory and will over-react to the loss thinking the Fever are done. I disagree so I will play the Fever, but only by buying a bunch of points. I will make the Fever +8 ½ -730 and give them a chance to cash a ticket for me. I used this same strategy during their last gave and cashed a nice bet.
