For Saturday, I am going back to the Bronx and back the Yankees. The Yankees have won eight in a row and are 8-2 in their last 10 games. Oakland just traded one of their best hitters, which means they are waiving the white flag on the season. The A’s have lost 2 in a row and are 4-6 in their last 10 games. Oakland is a miserable 18-30 on the road while the Yankees are 34-16 at home.
The Yankees have the legend Petitte pitching, who is better than his 8-5 record with a 4.62 ERA. The A’s are pitching Gonzalez who is 1-2 with a 9.33 ERA. This stat interests me the most! We are looking at a football score from the Yankees with a plus 9 ERA from the A’s. I look for a Yankee blow out in this one.
Being the conservative handicapper that I am I will buy the line up to NYY +1 ½ -420.
