Sports Betting Free Picks 7-26-09
The Yankees took the pipe on Saturday’s free pick bringing our Five-day streak to 8-2.
For Sunday, I am not thrilled with any of the games, but in the spirit of the web-site I will make a play. Today I will stay local and go with the Cubbies. The Cubs have won three in a row and are 7-3 in their last 10 games. The Red’s have lost five in a row and are 2-8 in their last 10 games. As bad as the Cubs are, the Red’s are much worse. Cincinnati is a miserable 22-30 on the road while the Cubs are 29-18 at Wrigley Field.
The Cubs send Harden to the mound, who is a 500 starter with a 6-6 record and a 4.76 ERA. The Red’s are pitching Owings who is 6-10 with a 5.33 ERA. The wind is blowing out so that means we are looking at a potential home run derby. If that happens then there is no way the Reds can compete.
Being the conservative handicapper that I am I will buy the line up to Cubs +1 ½ -360.
