The Cubs won Sunday’s free pick bringing our six-day streak to 9-2. I took the day off Monday so let’s take a look at what is going on today.
For Tuesday, I am looking to the Phillies to once again bring me a winner The Phillies have won three in a row and are 8-2 in their last 10 games. The D-backs have lost one in a row and are 5-5 in their last 10 games. The Phillies are an astounding 15 games over 500 on the road, while Arizona is 9 games under 500 at home.
The D-backs are starting Haren, who is 10-5 and has a 2.14 ERA. This is where we get great value on a far superior team facing a garbage team with a decent pitcher. The Phillies are actually the underdogs! The Phillies are pitching Hamels who is 6-5 with a 4.66 ERA. Hamels is the type of pitcher that can get the job done. I project this game as a low scoring event and I am looking for the Phillies to take control later in the game when the bullpen of Arizona is pitching.
Being the conservative handicapper that I am I will buy the line up to Phillies +2 ½ -320. It will take three runs to beat us!
