Sports Betting Free Picks 8-4-09
Another winner for us on the Free picks page on Monday. The Rangers lost, but by only one run so we cashed another ticket.
For Tuesday, I will look to the Midwest and the Reds versus Cubs game, which starts at 6:10pm CST
The Cubbies are red-hot winning seven of their last ten games. They have finally taken over 1st place from the Cardinals and I am sure they want to keep the momentum going. The Reds are just awful losing seven in a row and are just 1-9 in their past ten games.
We get a good price on this game since Chicago is under 500 on the road with a record of 23-29. The good news is the Reds have the same record at home so in my mind this is a wash.
The pitching match up has Gorzelanny for the Cubs who is 3-1 with a 5.19 ERA versus the Reds Cueto who is 8-8 with an ERA of 4.06. Since the Cubs are on the road with a +5 ERA pitcher, Las Vegas has made them the underdog. The Cubs are +1 ½ runs -220.
I am a believer in momentum and trends so I will play the hotter, better team.
I will continue my conservative style and buy another run so I will play the Cubs +2 ½ -320.
