Stock Market Commentary 7-7-2009
The market opened lower, and reversed on the ISM numbers. The low for the DOW was 8206, down 74 points, with the close up 44 at 8324. Still noise. The volume was below average, but inline with the summer doldrums.
Tuesday is a quiet day for economic news, and earnings do not start until Wednesday with Alcoa.
The new high list had no stocks that qualified based on volumes. This is a good time to go on vacation.
Some stocks have pulled back, and are starting to look attractive. One that I am watching is AFAM. It has pulled back, and could be good for 2 points.
